Very smart product but I wish they had more sizes, I got the XS and it's still like a women's large. I feel like these products are designed mostly for average size men, even the sizing chart has a dude on it. Honestly, us petite people who tend to have more trouble with body temperature regulation and prefer to travel with as small of a load as possible would be a big market for this product if it would come in actual extra small sizes. I'm 5'2" and 105lbs for reference, and I would need like two sizes smaller than the XS hoodie for it to fit properly.
Seems like a good product but it being so large kind of defeats the purpose of being comfortable and athletic for me and other people with a similar body type.
I’ve used the Shift Alpha Direct 120 Hoodie – No Pocket Edition for both ski touring and trail running, and it’s been fantastic. It’s warm, incredibly breathable, dries quickly, and layers perfectly under a shell. The simple no-pocket design keeps it lightweight and comfortable. An excellent choice for high-output mountain activities.
10/10 great fit and function
Ordered the Shift Alpha 120 Direct Hoodie as a result of being so impressed with the the Alpha 90 hoodie. Wanting a warmer version I ordered the 120 and am very pleased with the extra warmth, and quality of construction. I took one star off my rating as this hoodie fits a bit larger than the 90 hoodie. Both are size small but an XS 120 would likely have been a better fit. However, I am very please with both hoodies and will likely get a lot of use from them. I really hope you will add more colours to this hoodie.
I was very happy when I found Lobtree because it’s a Canadian brand. I also loved the design and colour options. The price is comparable to other brands for similar products. I wasn’t sure what size to go with because of the unisex sizing, but after messaging Nick and reviewing the measurements I went with the small. The hoodie is super lightweight and easy to travel with and throw in a backpack. Photo from my recent vacation so you can see the size on me. I am normally a size women’s medium. Height is 5’6”. This is my first Alpha Direct piece of clothing. It’s not as soft as I expected but the warmth to weight ratio is great. I can’t wait to try it on my next backpacking trip. Overall it’s a good quality hoodie and I’m really happy.
